The story about how the city of Asbury Park came to be is documented on the east end of the bar.
Photographs of historic landmarks were reproduced on reflective metal plates and inlaid into the yellow pine bar top.
Also embedded in the bar surface is why, for a brief time, the territory which is now New Jersey was once referred to as Albania. The owner's contracting partner is Albanian; he found this amusing and contributed a communist Albanian coin - that's the one with a 'just say "no"' red slash running through it.
